Terms are scheduled to operate concurrently with Queensland Government school terms and average 40 weeks per year.

Uniform Information

DANCE is a discipline and correct dress is an essential part of the discipline of learning to dance. Students are required to wear the KOTB uniform, footwear and appropriate grooming for every class to achieve comfort as well as safe dance practice and create group cohesion in a professional and non-fashion competitive environment.

KOTB Uniform (general guide): Students can choose to wear any colour combination of Black, Raspberry Pink, Turquoise and White (e.g. leotard & bike shorts or crop top & leggings). *Exam and Eisteddfod classes have specific requirements – Please see below for more details.

All dancewear, including shoes should be fitted correctly and ALL items named. For your convenience, uniform and accessories can be purchased from The Dance Box Shop located in reception.

Students attending any Ballet or graded Tap Classes must have their hair in a bun. Due to limited time and space, please prepare ahead of start time. Please refrain from wearing jewellery, denim, baggy pants (see below for exceptions), & black soled shoes in class. Normal shoes should be worn to and from the Studios to preserve your dance shoes.

NEW Students: To ensure pupils are enjoying their class and commit to continuing lessons, all new students will be given a two-week period to acquire their class uniform and footwear.
