Beginning her dance training at the age of 2, Sheryl Bamonte was very enthusiastic towards the artistic world, completing SATD Ballet, Jazz and Tap exams before finishing her schooling career. However, she possessed an undeniable desire for music, in particular, that began to shape her future. Initially growing up singing in a local community music club doing gigs with one of her older sisters – Christine Evans, a certain Keith Urban, Drage Boys & Jenny Wilson who later went on to forge huge solo and television careers, followed her regular performances at the Tamworth Country Music Festival each year.
Joining a band as lead singer and bass guitarist at the age of 14, Sheryl performed at parties, weddings, and corporate events most nights and weekends until marrying and moving to the Gold Coast in 1987. Music was put on the backburner of her life, to concentrate on her fulltime job; working full time for Accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand, until starting her family in 1989.
“With 1 son and 3 daughters, I have always encouraged them in the arts with my eldest daughter joining KOTB in 1996.” Firstly assisting in the costume department at KOTB before assisting previous directors with administration, Sheryl Bamonte became a partner in 2007, advancing to her sole ownership in 2010.
