Kellie Niebling

Kellie began training at the age of 5 at the Jill Ford Dance Studio studying acrobatics under the direction of Jill Ford. Jill quickly saw much potential in Kellie and suggested she take Ballet classes to further her technique. She began Classical Ballet training with Leonie Scarlet, and almost instantly Kellie’s love for dance began. Throughout her dedicated 16 years with The Jill Ford Dance Studio, Kellie trained with several well known teachers on the Gold Coast including, Leonie Scarlet (Ballet/Tap), Mary Ellingstad (Acrobatics), Danielle Elden (Jazz), Louise Deleur (Contemporary), Paul DeRolf (Jazz), Dorothy DeRolf (Jazz), & Alex Wylie (Jazz/Contemporary). During these years Kellie performed at various multicultural events, shopping centres, corporate events, and maintained a high success rate throughout her entire dance competition years. Kellie also performed regular professional gigs for several years as an acrobatic Can Can dancer performing in French restaurants and hotels throughout the Gold Coast & Brisbane, and professional gigs as a Showgirl performing with various musicians. Kellie later went on to perform in several musicals, beginning under the Direction of Robert Young at the Arts Centre Gold Coast.

Kellie studied the R.A.D Classical Ballet Syllabus under the direction of Leonie Scarlet. Her talent as a ballerina was evidant from an early age, and was continually recognised throughout the years as she successfully passed ballet examinations, and received countless awards. Kellie’s love & dedication for ballet was undeniable, taking classes both before & after school, and spending every school holidays attending extensive R.A.D Ballet workshops in Brisbane at the Queensland Ballet. It was here that Kellie had the opportunity to work under the guidance of the Queensland Ballet’s former Director Francois Klaus, highly acclaimed R.A.D teachers & examiners, and various members of the Queensland Ballet.

Kellie was also successful in being chosen to perform in productions choreographed by former Queensland Ballet Principle dancer Mr. Paul Boyd, & Dr. Dale Johnston. At 28 years of age Kellie’s passion for ballet only continues to grow as she still takes regular adult Ballet & Pointe classes at the Queensland Ballet under the direction of Tracey Carrodus, and members of the Queensland Ballet.

Kellie has choreographed countless winning solos/duos/trios and group routines for eisteddfods throughout the years. She has also previously choreographed routines for high school Rock Eisteddfods, winning high school eisteddfod routines, and various routines for annual dance concerts. Kellie has also worked as Assistant Choreographer & Dance Captain for several musicals over the past 5 years.
